What we collect and why
When you join a waitlist, we collect your email address, chosen product, signup date, and the version of the consent and privacy notice shown to you. We use this information to manage product interest and send the development and release updates you chose. Joining one product list does not subscribe you to every list. Earlier versions of the form also accepted an optional first name; new signups do not request one.
We rely on your consent for these emails. You can withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. Our legitimate interests in maintaining a secure, reliable website support necessary security processing.
Hosting, security, and analytics
Cloudflare hosts the site and stores waitlist records in its D1 database. Cloudflare processes network and request information, including IP addresses, to deliver and protect the website. We use IP addresses for short-lived rate limiting; we do not store them in the waitlist table. Operational logs and sampled traces may contain technical request metadata. Do not put personal information in page URLs.
Cloudflare Web Analytics measures visits and page performance, including page paths, referrers, device and browser information, and approximate geographic information. It does not use analytics cookies or browser fingerprinting. We do not send signup form contents to analytics. Read Cloudflare’s privacy policy for details about its services.
We do not use advertising cookies, sell your personal information, or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. This site does not set application cookies. External links to Instagram and Ko-fi take you to services with their own privacy practices.
Who can access it
Jake and service providers needed to operate the project may access information for those purposes. Contact messages sent to our domain are forwarded through Cloudflare to an inbox hosted by Google. We may disclose information when legally required or necessary to protect rights and security. Service providers may process information outside your country; applicable contractual and legal safeguards govern those transfers.
Retention and your choices
Waitlist entries automatically expire two years after signup, or are removed sooner when you request deletion or withdraw consent. Provider backups may retain deleted data temporarily under their recovery policies. We keep correspondence only as needed to address the request and applicable obligations.
Email hello@aprotohype.com from your signup address to leave a list or all lists. You can also request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of your information. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to object, restrict processing, port your data, or complain to your local data protection authority. We may verify your identity before disclosing or changing personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
Age and changes
The waitlist is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect children’s information. Contact us if a child has submitted details. We will update this page when our practices change and seek new consent where required.
